When we finally arrive at our destination, the first order of business is to pick up our bags from the carousel. After a bit of waiting, our luggage appears, and we gather our belongings. We then walk out of the airport, stepping into the bustling atmosphere of a brand new place. Before us, a big city unfolds, with towering skyscrapers and a lively buzz. Our immediate goal is to get to our hotel, the Maple Hotel, but the sheer size of the city means we don’t know the way.

Seeing our bewildered faces, my Dad decides to approach a friendly man nearby, hoping for some guidance. Dad politely asks, “Excuse me, how can we get to Maple Hotel?” The man, with a helpful smile, immediately points out the bus stop just a short distance away. He clearly explains our options, saying, “You can get on bus number 5, or take a taxi for a quicker ride.” Grateful for his assistance, we say thank you and begin to move on to the bus stop, weighing our choices.

목적지에 마침내 도착하면 가장 먼저 할 일은 수하물을 벨트에서 찾아오는 것입니다. 잠시 기다린 후 우리의 짐이 나오면 우리는 짐을 모읍니다. 그 후 공항 밖으로 걸어나와 새로운 장소의 분주한 분위기로 들어섭니다. 우리 앞에 큰 도시가 펼쳐지고 높은 빌딩들과 활기찬 소리가 가득합니다. 우리의 가장 가까운 목표는 Maple Hotel에 도착하는 것이지만, 도시가 너무 커서 길을 모릅니다.

 

우리 가족의 당황한 얼굴을 본 아빠는 근처의 친절해 보이는 남자에게 다가가 도움을 청하기로 합니다. 아빠는 공손히 "실례합니다, Maple Hotel까지 어떻게 가나요?"라고 물어봅니다. 그 남자는 친절한 미소로 바로 가까운 버스 정류장을 가리킵니다. 그는 "5번 버스를 타거나 더 빠르게 가려면 택시를 타면 됩니다"라고 분명하게 설명해줍니다. 그의 도움에 감사하며 우리는 고맙다고 말하고 버스 정류장으로 이동하며 선택지를 고민합니다.
