1 My Experience in the Class Band

This semester, something cool happened at school.
Our music teacher told us we were going to start a class band!
At first, I was shy, but I signed up anyway.
I’ve always wanted to play the drums.
We met up every Thursday after class.
The teacher split us into sections—drums, keyboard, guitar, and vocals.

I picked up my drumsticks and felt excited.
Jina sat down at the keyboard.
Minho held a guitar, and Yuna warmed up her voice.
We all looked at each other and smiled.
Then we started to play a simple beat together.

At first, it was messy.
The timing was off, and I kept missing the beat.
But the teacher cheered us on and said, “Keep going!”
We practiced again and again.

Every week, we learned about something new.
We went over rhythm, tempo, and melody.
I listened to songs at home to improve.
Sometimes I even tapped on my desk in class.
My family noticed and said, “You really enjoy music!”

One day, the teacher gave us a song to perform.
It was “You Are My Sunshine.”
We all worked on our parts for days.
I tried to stay on beat and not panic.
Sometimes I messed up, but I kept trying.

The day of the performance finally came.
We set up the stage in the auditorium.
I stood behind my drum and took a deep breath.
The lights came on, and the audience looked at us.

We played through the whole song.
Everyone stayed focused and did their best.
At the end, the room filled with applause.
I felt proud and full of joy.

After the show, the teacher walked over and said,
“You sounded great!”
Our classmates came up and gave high-fives.
My parents took pictures and hugged me.
I even wrote about the moment in my diary.

Since then, I look forward to every Thursday.
Band is not just about music.
It’s about working together, sharing joy, and growing as a team.
Now I want to learn more instruments.
Maybe the keyboard, or even the violin!

If you get the chance to join a band, do it.
Even if you’re shy, just give it a try.
Because music really brings people together.
And one day, you might look back and smile.
