1 My Great Person Presentation 

Today, I gave a presentation in class.
It was about a great person in history.
I chose Helen Keller.
I had heard about her before, but I wanted to learn more.
So, I looked up her story online.
I also read about her in a book.
She was deaf and blind, but she never gave up.
She worked hard and became a writer and speaker.
Her teacher, Anne Sullivan, helped her learn words with her hands.
I wrote down all the facts I found.
Then, I made a small poster.
I cut out a picture of Helen Keller and glued it on.
I added some colorful titles.
My mom helped me check my spelling.
I practiced my speech in front of the mirror.
At school, I was a little nervous.
But I stood up when the teacher called on me.
I took a deep breath and started to speak.
At first, my voice shook a little.
But then I got more confident.
I talked about her life and her strong mind.
I held up my poster and showed it to the class.
Everyone listened quietly.
After my talk, the teacher clapped and said, “Great job!”
My friends also said nice things.
One friend asked me more questions.
I was proud of myself.
It felt good to share something important.
Helen Keller taught me to never give up.
Even with problems, we can still move forward.
I learned a lot from this project.
I want to do another one soon!

3 해석

오늘 나는 반에서 발표를 했어요.

역사 속 위인에 관한 발표였어요.

나는 헬렌 켈러를 선택했어요.

전에 그녀에 대해 들어본 적이 있었지만, 더 알고 싶었어요.

그래서 인터넷으로 그녀에 대해 검색했어요.

또 책에서도 그녀의 이야기를 읽었어요.

그녀는 청각과 시각을 잃었지만, 절대 포기하지 않았어요.

열심히 노력해서 작가이자 연설가가 되었어요.

그녀의 선생님 앤 설리번은 손을 이용해 단어를 가르쳐주었어요.

찾은 사실들을 모두 적어두었어요.

그리고 작은 포스터를 만들었어요.

헬렌 켈러 사진을 오려서 붙였어요.

화려한 제목도 넣었어요.

엄마는 철자를 확인해주는 걸 도와주셨어요.

거울 앞에서 발표 연습도 했어요.

학교에서는 조금 긴장했어요.

하지만 선생님이 제 이름을 부르셨을 때 일어났어요.

숨을 깊이 들이쉬고 말을 시작했어요.

처음엔 목소리가 조금 떨렸어요.

그런데 점점 자신감이 생겼어요.

그녀의 삶과 강한 마음에 대해 이야기했어요.

포스터를 들어서 반 친구들에게 보여줬어요.

모두 조용히 들어주었어요.

발표가 끝나자 선생님이 박수치며 “잘했어!”라고 하셨어요.

친구들도 좋은 말을 해줬어요.

한 친구는 저에게 질문도 했어요.

스스로가 자랑스러웠어요.

무언가 중요한 것을 나누어서 기뻤어요.

헬렌 켈러는 저에게 절대 포기하지 말라고 가르쳐주었어요.

문제가 있어도 우리는 계속 나아갈 수 있어요.

이번 과제를 통해 많은 걸 배웠어요.

또 다른 발표도 하고 싶어요!
