Yearbook Signing Day 

Today was our yearbook signing day.
Everyone was so excited to write messages and look back on memories.
I picked up my yearbook from the teacher’s desk.
It was shiny and full of colorful photos.

My friends and I sat down at our desks.
We started to flip through the pages and point out funny pictures.
We laughed at our silly expressions and class trip memories.
Then someone said, “Let’s start signing!”

I walked around with a pen and asked friends to sign my yearbook.
They wrote things like, “Stay cool!” or “Let’s keep in touch!”
One friend even drew a cartoon of us eating pizza.
Another wrote, “I’ll never forget our soccer game.”

I wanted to write something special in everyone’s book.
So I tried to think about good memories with each person.
Even kids I didn’t talk to much came over to say goodbye.
I was surprised and happy to hear kind words from them.

I wrote, “Thank you for being kind,” and “Good luck in middle school.”
I also said, “Don’t give up, even if it’s hard.”
It felt nice to spread encouragement.
One friend told me, “You really helped me out this year.”

Some students lined up to sign our teacher’s yearbook too.
We all wrote notes like, “Thank you for everything!”
She smiled and said she would miss us a lot.
She gave each of us a small sticker as a memory.

We took pictures with our books and held them up high.
The covers were colorful with stars and flowers.
We even put on silly hats for fun.
It felt like a real celebration.

Later, I found a quiet corner to read through what others wrote.
Some notes made me tear up a little.
One said, “You were my first friend at this school.”
Another said, “Thanks for always cheering me up.”

I didn’t want this moment to end.
I tried to hold on to each word and memory.
I knew I would look back on this book many times.
It was more than just paper—it was a piece of my heart.

Before I left, I asked my best friend to sign the back cover.
She wrote a long message and drew hearts all around it.
We hugged and promised to write letters if we missed each other.
I told her, “Let’s stay close, no matter what.”

After school, I showed the book to my mom.
She smiled and said, “You’ll treasure this forever.”
I think she’s right.
This yearbook is full of joy, friendship, and memories.

I plan to keep it safe in my bookshelf.
Whenever I miss elementary school, I’ll take it out and smile.
One day, I’ll read it again and remember how happy I was.
It’s something I will always hold on to.

해석

오늘은 우리 반 졸업앨범 사인하는 날이었어요.

모두가 메시지를 쓰기 위해 들떠 있었고, 추억을 되돌아보며 웃었어요.

저는 선생님 책상에서 졸업앨범을 집어 들었어요.

앨범은 반짝였고 사진들이 알록달록했어요.

 

친구들과 함께 책상에 앉아,

우리는 표정과 수학여행 사진을 보며 웃었어요.

그리고 누군가 “이제 사인 시작하자!”라고 말했어요.

 

저는 펜을 들고 친구들에게 내 앨범에 사인해달라고 했어요.

“항상 멋지게 지내!” “연락하자!” 같은 말들이 가득했어요.

어떤 친구는 우리가 피자 먹던 날 만화를 그려줬고,

또 다른 친구는 “우리 축구 시합 절대 잊지 않을게”라고 썼어요.

 

저는 친구들 앨범에도 특별한 글을 쓰고 싶었어요.

그래서 그 친구와의 좋은 기억들을 떠올리며 한 글자 한 글자 적었어요.

많이 친하지 않았던 친구들도 와서 작별 인사를 해줬고,

따뜻한 말을 들으며 기분이 좋아졌어요.

 

“친절하게 대해줘서 고마워요.” “중학교 가서도 화이팅!”

그리고 “힘들어도 절대 포기하지 마”라고도 썼어요.

응원을 전하는 기분이 참 좋았어요.

어떤 친구는 “너한테 올해 정말 많이 힘이 됐어”라고 말해줬어요.

 

선생님 앨범에도 친구들이 줄을 서서 사인했어요.

“모든 것에 감사해요!” 같은 메시지가 가득했죠.

선생님은 “너희가 정말 보고 싶을 거야” 하셨어요.

그리고 우리에게 기념으로 스티커를 하나씩 주셨어요.

 

우리는 앨범을 들고 사진을 찍었어요.

별과 꽃 무늬가 커버에 가득했어요.

재미로 이상한 모자도 써보고, 마치 축제 같았죠.

 

조용한 자리에서 친구들이 쓴 글을 차분히 읽어봤어요.

어떤 글은 살짝 울컥하게 만들었어요.

“너는 내가 이 학교에서 처음 사귄 친구야.”

“언제나 날 힘나게 해줘서 고마워”라는 글도 있었어요.

 

이 순간이 끝나지 않길 바랐어요.

모든 글자와 기억을 마음에 담으려 노력했어요.

이 앨범을 여러 번 되돌아보게 될 걸 알아요.

그건 단지 종이가 아니라, 마음 한 조각이에요.

 

가기 전에, 저는 절친에게 뒷표지에 사인을 해달라고 했어요.

그 친구는 하트를 가득 그리고, 긴 메시지를 써줬어요.

우리는 편지 쓰자고 약속하고, 꼭 안아줬어요.

“무슨 일이 있어도 우리 계속 친하자”라고 했죠.

 

학교가 끝나고, 저는 앨범을 엄마에게 보여줬어요.

“이건 평생 소중한 보물이 될 거야”라고 하셨어요.

정말 그럴 것 같아요.

이 앨범에는 기쁨과 우정, 추억이 담겨 있어요.

 

저는 이걸 책꽂이에 잘 보관할 거예요.

초등학교가 그리울 땐 꺼내서 웃어보려구요.

언젠가 다시 읽고,

“내가 이렇게 행복했었구나” 하고 기억할 거예요.

그리고 이 기억은 평생 제 마음속에 간직될 거예요.
