Growing in the Classroom

(교실에서 자란 시간)

After that first day,

school slowly became part of my life.

Every morning, I walked into the same classroom.

At first, it still felt strange.

But day by day, it started to feel familiar.

I learned where to sit.

I learned when to listen and when to speak.

I learned how to raise my hand

and how to wait for my turn.

The classroom was where our days began.

We studied together.

Sometimes the lessons were easy.

Sometimes they were hard.

But we always tried again.

During class, we opened our books.

We wrote slowly, line by line.

We made mistakes.

We erased them and tried once more.

Then came break time.

The classroom suddenly became loud.

Chairs moved.

Friends laughed.

We talked about small things that felt very big to us.

At lunch time, we lined up together.

We talked about the food.

We shared stories.

Sometimes we traded snacks with happy smiles.

Those moments were simple,

but they made our days bright.

In that classroom,

we learned more than just subjects.

We learned how to help a friend.

We learned how to say sorry.

We learned how to smile again after a bad day.

Some days were fun.

Some days felt long.

But every day added something new to us.

Without knowing it,

we were growing.

The classroom watched us change.

Our voices became stronger.

Our thoughts became deeper.

Our hearts became a little bigger.

What once felt strange

became comfortable.

What once felt quiet

became full of life.

That classroom was not just a room.

It was a place where we spent our time,

shared our feelings,

and grew together.

Now, when I think about those days,

I realize something important.

Those ordinary days

were very special.

And they will always stay with us.
