Career Experience Day
Today was Career Experience Day at school.
I was so excited this morning.
Our teacher told us about different jobs.
Then, we got into groups.
Each group picked out a job to learn.
My group chose to learn about firefighters.
We put on red firefighter hats.
I felt like a real firefighter!
A real firefighter came to our school.
He talked about his job.
He showed us pictures of fires.
He told us about his training.
We asked him many questions.
I wrote down notes in my notebook.
Later, we tried on real firefighter jackets.
They were heavy but cool!
Then, we watched a video about fire safety.
I learned how to put out small fires.
The firefighter taught us to stay calm.
He said safety is the most important thing.
After lunch, we drew our favorite job.
I drew myself as a brave firefighter.
My teacher came by and smiled.
She said I did a great job.
Some of my friends wanted to be doctors.
Others talked about being teachers.
My best friend picked out a job as a baker.
He loves making cookies.
We all shared our drawings with the class.
Everyone clapped for each other.
It was a fun and special day.
I never thought about being a firefighter before.
Now, I want to learn more.
Maybe I can read about it in books.
Or I can look up videos at home.
I told my mom all about the day.
She smiled and gave me a big hug.
She said I can be anything if I try.
That made me really happy.
Career Day helped me think about the future.
I hope we have more days like this.

우리 조는 소방관에 대해 배우기로 했어요.
빨간 소방관 모자를 썼어요.
진짜 소방관이 된 기분이었어요!
진짜 소방관 한 분이 학교에 오셨어요.
자기 일을 설명해 주셨어요.
불에 대한 사진도 보여주셨어요.
훈련에 대해서도 말씀해 주셨어요.
우리는 질문을 많이 했어요.
공책에 열심히 적었어요.
나중에 진짜 소방관 자켓도 입어봤어요.
무거웠지만 멋졌어요!
그 다음 불조심 영상도 봤어요.
작은 불을 끄는 법도 배웠어요.
소방관은 침착하게 행동하라고 알려주셨어요.
안전이 가장 중요하다고 하셨어요.
점심 후, 우리가 되고 싶은 직업을 그림으로 그렸어요.
저는 용감한 소방관이 된 제 모습을 그렸어요.
선생님이 다가오셔서 웃으셨어요.
잘 그렸다고 해주셨어요.
친구들 중엔 의사가 되고 싶은 친구도 있었어요.
선생님이 되고 싶다는 친구도 있었어요.
베스트 프렌드는 제빵사가 되고 싶다고 했어요.
쿠키 굽는 걸 좋아하거든요.
우리는 그림을 반 친구들에게 보여줬어요.
서로 박수도 쳐줬어요.
정말 재미있고 특별한 날이었어요.
전에는 소방관이 되고 싶다는 생각을 안 해봤어요.
이젠 더 배우고 싶어요.
책으로 알아보거나 집에서 영상도 찾아보고 싶어요.
엄마에게 하루 동안 있었던 일을 다 말했어요.
엄마는 웃으시며 저를 꼭 안아주셨어요.
노력하면 뭐든 될 수 있다고 해주셨어요.
그 말이 정말 기뻤어요.
진로 체험 수업은 제 미래를 생각하게 도와줬어요.
이런 날이 또 있었으면 좋겠어요.
