The Stationery Shop in Front of School
After school, Nayeon walked out of the gate with her friend.
하교 후, 나연이는 친구와 함께 교문을 나섰어요.

“Let’s go to the stationery shop!”
“우리 문방구 가자!”
“It’s right across the street,” her friend pointed.

A bell rang as they stepped into the shop.

“Wow… so many pens, stickers, and notebooks!”

Nayeon picked up a sparkly pencil.

“How much is this?” she asked the shop owner.
“이거 얼마예요?” 그녀가 가게 주인에게 물었어요.

“It’s 500 won,” the owner replied.
“500원이란다,” 주인이 대답했어요.

She reached into her coin purse and smiled.
그녀는 동전지갑에 손을 넣고, 웃었어요.

“Perfect! I have just enough.”
“딱 좋아! 딱 맞게 있어.”
At the counter, she also grabbed a sheet of cat stickers.
계산대에서 그녀는 고양이 스티커도 한 장 집었어요.

Her friend picked out a blue pen.
친구는 파란 펜을 골랐어요.
(pick out: 고르다)
They paid and walked out of the shop together.
그들은 계산하고, 함께 가게를 나왔어요.

“Let’s use our new things tomorrow!”
“우리 새 물건들 내일 쓰자!”
Nayeon nodded happily.
나연이는 기쁘게 끄덕였어요.

Sometimes small things
make a big smile after school.
가끔 작은 물건 하나가
하교 후 큰 미소가 되어줘요.
