1 반장선거 Running for Class President 본문

It all started when our teacher announced that we would choose a class president.
She put up a sign that said “Election Next Week!”
Some students jumped up with excitement.
Others looked at each other and whispered.

At first, I didn’t think I would run.
I was shy and not very loud.
But that night, my dad talked to me.
He said, “You care about people. That makes a good leader.”
So I decided to try.

The next day, I wrote down my name on the candidate list.
My heart beat fast, but I smiled.
Jina and Minho also signed up.
We all got ready to give our speeches.

I sat down and worked on my speech after school.
I wrote about fairness, kindness, and teamwork.
I said, “Let’s make sure everyone feels welcome.”
My mom read it over and said, “This is strong and true.”

The day before the speech,
I cut out some stars and words to put on my poster.
I used blue and yellow colors.
My sister helped me draw happy faces.

Finally, it was speech day.
I stood in front of the class.
I took a deep breath and started to speak.
Some people looked nervous, some smiled.

I talked about being a voice for everyone.
I said I would listen to students and work with teachers.
I promised to bring in fun games and extra reading time.
I also said we could plant more flowers near the classroom.

After I finished, I sat down and felt proud.
Minho and Jina also gave great speeches.
Then we put up our posters on the wall.
The hallway filled with colors and ideas.

On Friday, we voted.
We all lined up and put in our votes.
Then we went back to class and waited.
In the afternoon, the teacher stood up and said,
“The results are in!”

She called out the names.
Jina got 9 votes, Minho got 8,
And I got… 13!

Everyone clapped, and I couldn’t believe it.
I walked to the front and thanked everyone.
Minho and Jina shook my hand and smiled.
I said, “We’re still a team.”

That night, I told my family the news.
They cheered and hugged me.
My dad said, “I knew you could do it.”
My mom said, “Just be kind and fair.”

Now I feel excited and also a little nervous.
Next week, I’ll have my first class meeting.
I want to listen, lead, and learn.
And no matter what, I will always do my best.
