Thinking About a Gift for Our Homeroom Teacher
This week, we thought about what to give our homeroom teacher.
She has been with us for a whole year.
We wanted to come up with a special idea.
So we asked around for suggestions.
We also talked about it during break time.
Some students wrote down gift ideas.
We tried to figure out what she really liked.
Then we began to look for something meaningful.
A few of us picked out handmade gifts.
Others wanted to find out her favorite things.
Later, our group got together after class.
We all put in our thoughts and opinions.
We worked on a plan together.
We decided to set up a surprise event.
One group would go with flowers and a letter.
Another group would check out gift shops nearby.
We also wanted to give away something she could keep forever.
Some of us made up a scrapbook of memories.
Others wrapped up small gifts with care.
We planned to hand over the gifts on graduation day.
We really looked forward to seeing her smile.
We needed to talk over the budget.
We almost ran out of time and money.
But everyone wanted to chip in a little.
Together, we put together a great plan.
A friend even came over to help with decorations.
We also checked in with our teacher to make sure she had time.
We had to keep in mind her favorite color and style.
Finally, the big day showed up.
We were ready to take part in something wonderful.
Everyone was nervous but excited.
We entered the classroom with gifts in our hands.
Our teacher was surprised and touched.
We gave back our love and thanks.
She smiled and gave each of us a hug.
It was the best way to end the school year.
We learned that giving is better than receiving.
And we all felt very proud and happy.

쉬는 시간에도 선물에 대해 이야기했어요.

우리는 선생님이 정말 좋아할 만한 걸 알아내려 노력했어요.
그때부터 의미 있는 걸 찾기 시작했어요.
몇 명은 수공예 선물을 골랐고,
다른 친구들은 선생님의 취향을 알아보려고 했어요.
그 후, 우리는 수업 후에 모였어요.
모두 의견을 보탰고,
우리는 함께 계획을 세웠어요.
우리는 깜짝 이벤트를 준비하기로 했어요.
한 팀은 꽃과 편지를 선택했고,
다른 팀은 근처 선물 가게를 둘러봤어요.
오랫동안 간직할 수 있는 무언가를 드리고 싶었어요.
몇몇은 추억을 담은 스크랩북을 만들었고,
다른 친구들은 정성껏 선물을 포장했어요.
졸업식 날 선생님께 전달할 계획이었어요.
우리는 선생님의 미소를 기대했어요.
예산도 상의해야 했고,
시간과 돈이 거의 다 떨어질 뻔했어요.
그래도 모두 조금씩 돈을 모았어요.
함께 멋진 계획을 완성했어요.
한 친구는 장식을 도우러 집에 오기도 했고,
우리는 선생님께 시간이 괜찮은지도 확인했어요.
선생님의 좋아하는 색과 스타일을 명심했어요.
그리고 드디어 큰 날이 찾아왔어요.
우리는 멋진 순간에 참여할 준비가 되어 있었어요.
모두 떨렸지만 설레었어요.
우리는 선물을 들고 교실에 들어갔어요.
선생님은 놀라시고 감동하셨어요.
우리는 사랑과 감사를 돌려드렸어요.
선생님은 미소 지으며 우리를 꼭 안아주셨어요.
이건 학년을 마무리하는 최고의 방법이었어요.
우리는 주는 것이 받는 것보다 더 좋다는 걸 배웠어요.
그리고 모두가 자랑스럽고 행복했답니다.
