Friday Night Board Game Party

It was Friday night. Emma was very excited. Her friends were coming over to hang out!
She set up the table with snacks and drinks.
"I can’t wait to play with my friends!" Emma said.

Soon, Mia and Lucy showed up at her house.
"Hi, Emma! Thanks for inviting us!" said Mia.
"Let’s sit down and pick out a board game to play," said Lucy.

Emma took out a big box of board games.
"Which game should we play first?" she asked.
"Let’s go with this one!" said Mia, holding up a game with colorful cards.

They put down the board and set up the pieces.
Emma handed out cards to everyone.

As they played, they laughed at funny moves and jokes.
"Emma, you need to watch out! I’m going to win!" said Lucy.
"No way! I will take over soon!" said Emma.

After two games, they took a break to eat up cookies and chips.
"These cookies are so good!" said Mia.
Emma picked up a cookie and said, "My mom made them!"

Then, they went back to playing.
While waiting for her turn, Emma looked over at Lucy.
"Lucy, did you think of a plan to win?" Emma asked.
Lucy smiled. "Yes! You will see!"

Later, they put away the game and picked out a new one.
"Let’s try out this puzzle game now," said Mia.
"Great idea! Let’s set it up," said Emma.

As they played the puzzle game, they talked about school and their favorite movies.
Emma looked back on the fun they had and smiled.
"I’m so glad we could hang out tonight!" she said.

Finally, it was late, and Mia and Lucy had to go home.
"Thank you, Emma! Let’s do this again next Friday!" said Lucy.
"Yes! Next time, I will win over you both!" said Emma, laughing.

Emma cleaned up the table and lay down on her bed.
She thought about how much fun she had.
"I can’t wait to see my friends again!" she said before going to sleep.
