Friday Night Fun with Friends

It was a cool Friday night, and Emma was very excited.
Her two best friends, Mia and Lucy, were coming over to hang out.

Emma had already set up the table with cookies, juice, chips, and a big bowl of popcorn.
She also put out some pillows and blankets to make the room cozy.
"I can’t wait to play with them and talk about everything!" Emma said, smiling.

 

Soon, Mia and Lucy showed up at the door, holding small bags.
"Hi, Emma! Thanks for inviting us! I also brought along some chocolate!" said Mia.
"Yay! I love chocolate!" Emma said happily.
"Let’s sit down and pick out a board game to play," said Lucy.

Emma took out three board games from the shelf.
"Which one should we play first?" she asked.
"Let’s go with this game!" said Mia, holding up a colorful box with cards and dice.

They put down the board on the table and set up all the game pieces.
Emma handed out the cards and dice to everyone.

As they played, they laughed at each other’s funny moves and silly jokes.
"Emma, you better watch out! I’m going to win this time!" said Lucy.
Emma smiled, "No way! I will take over soon and win!"

After two exciting games, they took a break to eat up cookies and drink up orange juice.
"These cookies are amazing! Where did you get them?" asked Mia.
"My mom made them for us," Emma said proudly as she picked up another cookie.

"Your mom is the best!" said Lucy.

Later, they went back to the table to play a new game.
"Let’s try out this puzzle game now," suggested Mia.
"Good idea! I love puzzles!" said Emma.

As they played, they talked about their favorite teachers and funny things that happened at school.
"Do you remember when Ben dropped his books in class?" asked Mia, and they all laughed at the memory.
They also talked over their plans for the weekend.
"I want to watch a new movie tomorrow," said Lucy.
"Me too! Maybe we can watch it together," said Emma.

After a while, they put away the game and lay down on the soft carpet with their snacks.
"I’m so glad we could hang out tonight," said Emma, eating a chip.
"Me too," said Mia. "Let’s do this again next week!"
"Yes! And next time, I will win over both of you for sure!" Lucy said with a laugh.

Finally, it got very late, and Mia and Lucy had to go home.
"Thank you, Emma! We had so much fun!" said Mia.
Emma cleaned up the table and thought about how great the night was.
She lay down on her bed, smiling.
"I love spending time with my friends. I can’t wait to see them again," she said before falling asleep.
