혼자 영어 공부하기-The Big Mission: Finding the Bathroom 100

Jimin raised his hand during class.
지민이는 수업 중 손을 들었어요.

“Teacher, can I go to the bathroom?”
“선생님, 화장실 가도 될까요?”

“Of course. Take the bathroom pass,” she said.
“물론이지. 화장실 패스 가져가렴.” 선생님이 말했어요.

Jimin stepped into the hallway.
지민이는 복도로 나갔어요.

He looked around but didn’t see a bathroom sign.
그는 둘러보았지만, 화장실 표시가 보이지 않았어요.

“Where is it?” he whispered.
“어디지?” 그는 속삭였어요.
(whisper: 속삭이다)

He walked past three classrooms and a water fountain.
그는 교실 세 개와 정수대를 지나쳤어요.

Just then, a teacher came out of a room.
바로 그때 한 선생님이 방에서 나왔어요.
(come out of: ~에서 나오다)

“Are you looking for something?”
“무엇을 찾고 있니?”

“Yes! I’m trying to find the bathroom,” Jimin said.
“네! 화장실을 찾고 있어요.” 지민이가 말했어요.
(find: 찾다)

“Go straight, then turn left. You’ll see it.”
“곧장 가다가 왼쪽으로 도세요. 보일 거예요.”
(turn left: 왼쪽으로 돌다)

Jimin followed the directions and finally found it.
지민이는 안내를 따라가서 마침내 찾았어요.
(follow: 따르다 / find: 찾다)

“Phew! That was close,” he sighed.
“휴! 큰일 날 뻔했네.” 그는 한숨을 쉬었어요.
(sigh: 한숨 쉬다)

After using the bathroom,
he walked back to class.
화장실을 다녀온 뒤, 교실로 돌아갔어요.
(walk back: 돌아가다)

“Did you find it okay?” the teacher asked.
“잘 찾았니?” 선생님이 물었어요.
(ask: 묻다)

“Yes! But it felt like an adventure!”
“네! 근데 거의 모험 같았어요!”
