Visiting Younghee's House!
Younghee is my new friend from Korea.
She is kind and pretty.
At school, I always wanted to ask about BTS because I love their songs.
But I was too shy, so I held back my question and just smiled at her.
One day, during lunch, I sat next to Younghee.
I looked at her pink lunchbox. It was so cute!
She smiled and said, "Do you like K-pop?"
I was so surprised!
"Yes! I love BTS!" I said, a little nervous.
Younghee laughed and said, "Me too! My favorite is Jimin!"
I felt so happy that I wanted to ask about more K-pop groups,
but then I asked about something different.
"Do you have a Korean dress?" I asked.
Younghee smiled brightly.
"Yes! It’s called hanbok. I have one at home," she said.
"I can show it to you if you want."
"Really?!" I said. "That would be amazing!"
Then Younghee came up to me after class and said,
"Do you want to come over to my house this weekend?"
"Wow, really?" I said. "Yes, I would love to!"
Younghee smiled and said, "You can bring along some friends too!"
So I talked to my friends Anna and Lily.
"Hey, do you want to go over to Younghee’s house with me?"
Anna and Lily looked excited.
"Yes! Let’s go together!" they said.
We made up a plan to visit Younghee on Saturday.
On Saturday morning, we got together at my house.
We were so excited and kept talking about what we would see.
"I wonder if she will put on the hanbok," Lily said.
Then we all set out for Younghee’s house.
When we got to her house, Younghee came out with a big smile.
"Hi! Welcome to my home!" she said.
Inside, she showed us around.
Her house was pretty and cozy.
There were many books, dolls, and even a picture of BTS on the wall!
"Wow, you really like BTS!" I said.
"Yes!" Younghee laughed.
Then she brought out her hanbok from the closet.
It was pink and blue with pretty flowers.
"Wow! Can you put it on?" Anna asked.
"Sure!" said Younghee.
She put on the hanbok and looked like a princess!
We took out our phones and took many pictures together.
Later, we all sat down to eat snacks.
We talked about BTS, our favorite songs, and even Korean food!
"My mom makes kimchi," Younghee said.
"Really? I want to try it!" I said.
Younghee smiled and said, "Next time, I’ll bring over some for you!"
I was so happy to find out that we liked the same music.
Before we left, Younghee said,
"Let’s hang out again soon!"
Now, Younghee is one of my best friends.
And when I see her in class, I always smile at her.
I’m so glad I was brave to go over to her that day!
