During recess, Doyun gathered his friends.
쉬는 시간, 도윤이는 친구들을 모았어요.

“I’ll be it first!” he called out.

He closed his eyes and counted to ten.
그는 눈을 감고, 열까지 셌어요.

“One… two… three…”
“하나… 둘… 셋…”

The others ran off to hide.
다른 아이들은 숨기 위해 달려갔어요.

Minji hid behind a tree.
민지는 나무 뒤에 숨었어요.

Jisoo crawled under a bench.
지수는 벤치 아래로 기어갔어요.

“Ready or not, here I come!”
“숨었든 안 숨었든, 이제 간다!”

Doyun looked around the playground.
도윤이는 운동장을 둘러보았어요.

He spotted someone’s shoe sticking out.
누군가의 신발이 삐죽 나와 있는 걸 봤어요.

“Found you, Jisoo!”
“찾았다, 지수야!”

Jisoo jumped up and laughed.
지수는 벌떡 일어나 웃었어요.

Then Doyun peeked behind the tree.
그다음 도윤이는 나무 뒤를 슬쩍 들여다봤어요.

“Got you too, Minji!”
“너도 잡았다, 민지야!”

Soon everyone came out of their hiding spots.
곧 모두 숨은 곳에서 나왔어요.

“That was fun! Let’s play again tomorrow!”
“재미있었다! 내일 또 놀자!”

A simple game brought lots of laughter
and made recess the best part of the day.
작은 놀이가 웃음을 가득 안겨주고,
쉬는 시간을 하루 중 가장 즐거운 시간으로 만들어줬어요.
