A Conflict with My Classmates
It all started with a group art project.
Our teacher gave us a big sheet and said,
“Make a poster about teamwork.”
I was with Minho, Jina, and Yuna.
We sat down and talked about the design.
I wanted to draw people holding hands.
Minho said, “Let’s draw a sports team.”
Jina wanted a puzzle, and Yuna just looked away.
We all spoke at once.
“No, this is better!” “Yours doesn’t make sense!”
Voices got louder, and no one listened.
I stood up and walked away.
Later, the teacher came over and asked, “What happened?”
We told her everything.
She said, “Let’s take a break and think.”
I took a deep breath and went outside.
After a while, Jina came to me and said,
“Sorry for shouting.”
I nodded and said, “I didn’t listen either.”
Minho and Yuna also joined us.
We sat together again and this time listened to each other.
We wrote down everyone’s idea.
Then we mixed them:
a team holding puzzle pieces, all working together.
We smiled and said, “This is better!”
We worked on the poster calmly.
Minho drew the team, Jina added puzzle shapes,
Yuna colored, and I wrote the message.
It said, “Different ideas make strong teams.”
When we finished, we stood up, proud of our work.
The teacher walked by and smiled.
She said, “This is real teamwork.”
In the afternoon, we presented our poster.
We took turns explaining each part.
The class clapped, and we bowed.
That night, I wrote in my journal.
“Sometimes we argue, but listening helps us grow.”
Now I try to stay calm when I don’t agree.
I ask, “Can we try both ideas?”
I don’t always get my way,
but I feel better when we work together.
Arguments happen.
But if we talk it out,
we can find something even better than we imagined.
