A Mistake in My Group Project
Last week, our teacher gave us a group assignment.
We had to make a poster about healthy food.
I was in a group with Minho, Jina, and Doyoon.
We sat together and talked about what each person would do.
Minho would draw, Jina would write, Doyoon would cut out shapes,
and I would bring the pictures from home.
We wrote down the plan and left school.
That night, I totally forgot.
I played games, watched videos, and didn’t even check my bag.
The next day, I walked into class feeling happy.
But then, I saw my group.
They all looked at me with serious faces.
Jina asked, “Did you bring the pictures?”
My eyes got big. I shook my head.
“I forgot…”
No one said anything.
We only had 20 minutes to finish.
I felt terrible.
Minho ran to the library to print something fast.
Doyoon cut out extra paper.
Jina wrote the title again.
I just stood there, feeling useless.
But then I said, “Let me help now.”
I grabbed some markers and colored the background.
We worked together quickly.
Some parts looked messy, but we finished it.
We turned it in just before the bell.
After class, I walked over to my team.
I said, “I’m really sorry. I should’ve remembered.”
Jina nodded and said, “Next time, check your bag.”
Minho said, “It’s okay. Just don’t forget again.”
We all laughed a little.
That night, I wrote about it in my diary.
I thought about how my mistake affected everyone.
I didn’t like the feeling.
So I set a reminder for next time.
The next day, I brought extra supplies,
even though we didn’t have a new project.
I said, “Just in case!”
My team smiled and said, “You’re learning!”
Now, I always double-check what I need to do.
Because when you work with others,
you have to be ready.
Everyone’s job matters.
Mistakes happen.
But what really matters is how we fix them and move forward.
I’m glad I got a second chance.
