A Surprise Event for Our Teacher
Last week, our class planned a surprise for our teacher.
It was her birthday, and we wanted to do something special.
We decided to keep it a secret and set it up after class.
Our class leader helped bring everyone together.
We all came up with ideas during lunch.
Some wanted to make a big card, and others wanted to sing a song.
One group said they would make decorations.
Another group wanted to buy a cake from the bakery.
I was in the group that had to write down the messages.
We decided to hang up colorful paper hearts.
Each heart had a note from one of us.
We also wanted to put together a big thank-you board.
After school, we got to work quickly.
We tried to finish up before the teacher came back.
Some of us were told to watch out for her in the hallway.
We would give a signal if she was nearby.
While we were working, we laughed, painted, and cut out shapes.
One friend even drew a picture of our teacher.
Someone put on music to make the mood more fun.
We really wanted her to feel loved.
Finally, we turned off the lights and hid behind the desks.
When the teacher walked in, we all jumped up and shouted, “Surprise!”
She was so surprised that she covered her mouth.
Then she smiled and started to cry.
We sang happy birthday and gave her the big card.
She read through the notes and said thank you many times.
She told us this was the best gift ever.
She even took a photo with each of us.
After that, we ate cake and talked about our favorite moments.
The teacher said she would never forget this day.
We were all proud that we had pulled it off.
Even the principal came by and said, “Well done!”
That night, I looked back on the whole thing.
It felt so good to make someone smile.
I learned that giving is better than receiving.
We didn’t need money to show our love.
Just a little teamwork and care was enough.
I want to do this again someday.
Surprising someone brings so much joy.
And I will always remember that special smile.

반장을 중심으로 모두가 하나로 뭉쳤어요.
점심시간에 우리는 아이디어를 생각해냈어요.
누군가는 큰 카드 만들자고 하고, 또 어떤 친구는 노래를 부르자고 했어요.
어떤 모둠은 장식을 만들기로 했고,
다른 모둠은 빵집에서 케이크를 사오기로 했어요.
저는 메시지를 적는 모둠이었어요.
우리는 형형색색의 종이 하트를 걸기로 했죠.
각 하트에는 친구들의 짧은 편지가 적혀 있었어요.
우리는 감사판도 함께 만들었어요.
수업이 끝난 후 우리는 재빨리 준비를 시작했어요.
선생님이 돌아오기 전까지 마무리해야 했죠.
몇몇 친구는 복도에서 선생님을 지켜보기로 했어요.
근처에 오시면 신호를 주기로 했죠.
우리는 웃고, 그림 그리고, 종이를 오려내며 일했어요.
한 친구는 선생님 얼굴을 그려줬고,
어떤 친구는 음악도 틀었어요.
우리는 정말 선생님이 사랑을 느끼셨으면 했어요.
드디어 조명을 끄고, 책상 뒤에 숨었어요.
선생님이 들어오시자, 모두가 벌떡 일어나 “서프라이즈!”라고 외쳤죠.
선생님은 너무 놀라셔서 입을 가리셨어요.
그러다 울음을 터뜨리셨어요.
우리는 생일 축하 노래를 부르고, 큰 카드를 드렸어요.
선생님은 우리 글을 차근차근 읽으셨고,
“이건 내가 받은 최고의 선물이야”라고 하셨어요.
모두와 사진도 찍으셨어요.
그 후 우리는 케이크를 먹으며 추억 이야기를 나눴어요.
선생님은 이 날을 절대 잊지 않겠다고 하셨어요.
우리는 모두 함께 성공시켰다는 것에 뿌듯했어요.
교장 선생님도 오셔서 “정말 멋졌구나”라고 하셨어요.
그날 밤 저는 하루를 되돌아보며,
“누군가를 **웃게 만드는 건 정말 행복한 일이야”**라고 느꼈어요.
주는 것이 받는 것보다 더 기쁘다는 걸 배웠어요.
사랑을 보여주기 위해 큰 돈이 필요하지 않아요.
작은 협력과 마음만으로 충분했죠.
언젠가 다시 이런 걸 해보고 싶어요.
누군가를 놀래키는 건 정말 기쁨을 줘요.
그리고 저는 그 특별한 미소를 영원히 기억할 거예요.
