Memory of Our Last School Picnic 

 

Last week, we went on our final school picnic before graduation.
It was a sunny Friday, and everyone showed up early.
We got on the bus with loud cheers and snacks in our hands.
I sat next to my best friend, Hana.

The teacher told us to stay seated and buckle up.
Once the bus pulled out, music started playing.
We looked out the window and waved at the school.
“I’ll miss this, won’t you?” Hana whispered.

It took about an hour to arrive at the park.
We hopped off the bus and spread out our mats under a tree.
Everyone was excited to look around and take photos.
The air smelled fresh and the sky was clear.

We started with a group activity.
Our class had to team up for a treasure hunt.
I was in charge of the clues and helped our team figure out riddles.
We ran around the park, laughing and searching.

After that, we gathered around for lunch.
Everyone pulled out their lunchboxes and began to eat.
I traded some strawberries for a cookie.
Then we all shared our favorite snacks.

Some students lay down on the grass and closed their eyes.
Others played catch or card games.
I decided to walk around with my camera.
I wanted to capture every moment.

One of my favorite parts was the memory interview corner.
We set up a small area where we could record messages.
Each of us took turns to speak into the camera.
I said, “Thanks for all the memories, everyone.”

Later, we had free time to explore the park.
I found a quiet path and just sat by the pond.
I looked at the water and thought about everything.
It felt peaceful and a little sad.

As the sun began to set, the teacher called us back.
We cleaned up our space and packed up our bags.
I helped pick up trash and said, “Let’s leave this place clean.”
Everyone agreed and helped out.

We got back on the bus and started the ride home.
This time, the bus was quieter.
Some of us talked softly, others just leaned back and rested.
I held my camera and smiled.

When I got home, I looked through all the photos.
There were pictures of smiles, games, and hugs.
I decided to make a scrapbook with them.
It would be my way to remember our last picnic.

The next day, I wrote a short message for each friend.
“I’m glad we spent this day together,” I wrote.
I sent out the pictures and notes to everyone.
They all replied with hearts and thank-yous.

Now, when I see the picnic photos,
I think back on the fun and warm moments.
Our last picnic was more than a trip—

다 함께 공원을 뛰어다니며 크게 웃었죠.

 

점심시간이 되자, 우리는 둘러앉아 도시락을 꺼냈어요.

저는 딸기를 쿠키와 바꾸고,

서로 간식도 나눠 먹었어요.

 

어떤 친구는 잔디에 누워 쉬고,

어떤 친구는 공놀이를 하거나 카드게임을 했어요.

저는 카메라를 들고 주변을 걸으며,

이 순간들을 하나하나 담고 싶었어요.

 

가장 기억에 남는 건 ‘추억 인터뷰 코너’였어요.

우리는 작은 공간을 설치해,

각자 돌아가며 카메라에 감사 인사를 남겼어요.

“고마웠어요. 다들 최고였어요.”

 

그 후엔 자유시간이 있었어요.

저는 조용한 오솔길 옆 연못에 앉아 있었고,

잔잔한 물결을 바라보며, 여러 생각을 했어요.

평온하면서도 살짝 아쉬운 기분이었죠.

 

해가 지기 시작하자, 선생님이 다시 모이라고 하셨어요.

우리는 자리를 정리하고 짐을 챙겼어요.

저는 “깨끗하게 떠나자!” 하며 쓰레기를 모았고,

모두가 도와주었어요.

 

우리는 다시 버스에 올랐고,

돌아가는 길은 조용했어요.

조용히 이야기하거나, 창밖을 기대어 쉬었죠.

저는 카메라를 들고 미소 지었어요.

 

집에 오자마자 사진을 쭉 살펴보며,

웃는 얼굴, 놀이, 포옹이 가득했어요.

다음 날, 저는 친구들마다 편지를 쓰며

“이 하루를 함께 보낼 수 있어 고마웠어”라고 적었어요.

사진과 편지를 보내주었고,

모두 하트와 고마움으로 답장해줬어요.

 

이제 사진을 볼 때마다,

그 날의 따뜻한 순간들이 떠오릅니다.

그 소풍은 단순한 나들이가 아니라—

우리만의 마지막 인사였어요.
