Family Trip to Hawaii

It was a bright and sunny morning when Emma and her family got up early.
"Today is the day we head out to Hawaii!" said Dad, smiling as he looked over the travel tickets.

"Yay! I’m so excited!" shouted Emma as she put on her favorite yellow dress.
"Don’t forget to pack up your swimsuit, sunglasses, and sunscreen," said Mom.

Emma and her brother, Jack, picked out their favorite toys and books to bring along for the trip.
Dad helped to carry on the suitcases to the car, and soon they were ready to set off for the airport.

As they drove, Emma looked out the window. "I can’t wait to see the beach!" she said.

"I want to play with dolphins!" Jack said, giggling.

When they arrived at the airport, they had to check in their luggage and pick up their tickets.
"Let’s line up to board the plane," said Mom.
Emma and Jack looked around at all the people traveling.
"Look at that boy! He has a big teddy bear," said Emma, pointing.

After the plane took off, Emma looked out the window at the clouds.
"Wow! We’re flying so high!" she said.
Jack took out his tablet to play with games and watch over funny videos.

During the flight, the flight attendant handed out snacks.
Emma ate up her sandwich quickly and drank up her juice.
"Slow down," Mom laughed. "We still have a long flight ahead!"

When they finally got to Hawaii, Emma looked out and saw the blue ocean, tall palm trees, and the bright sun.
"Wow, it’s so beautiful here!" she said.
"Let’s head over to the hotel and check in," said Dad.

At the hotel, they put down their bags and looked around their room.
"I want to go out to the beach right now!" said Emma.
"Okay, but first, let’s put on sunscreen," said Mom.

Once they were ready, Emma and Jack ran into the water and splashed around happily.
"Be careful not to go too far!" Dad called out.
Emma picked up a pretty shell and showed it off to Mom.
"Look what I found!" she said proudly.

After swimming, they sat down on the sand to eat up their sandwiches and drink up their juice.
"This is the best lunch ever!" said Jack.
"Let’s walk along the beach and look for more shells," said Mom.
Emma found a starfish and picked it up gently.
"Can we bring back some shells for Grandma?" she asked.
"Sure," said Dad. "Let’s wrap them up carefully later."

Later that afternoon, they came back to the hotel to rest up.
Emma lay down on her bed and said, "Today was so much fun!"
Dad smiled, "And tomorrow we will go on a boat ride to see dolphins!"

"Really? Can we check out the volcano too?" Emma asked.
"Of course," said Mom. "We’ll look up the best place to go later."

Before bedtime, Emma and Jack wrote down everything they did in their travel journals.
Emma drew a big picture of a dolphin and a palm tree.
"I want to look back on this trip forever!" said Emma, smiling.

"Let’s set out our clothes for tomorrow," said Mom.
They all picked out shorts, hats, and sandals.

Just before falling asleep, Jack said, "Tomorrow, I want to try out surfing!"
"That sounds fun! But be careful," said Dad, laughing.
"Okay, good night everyone!" Emma said.

As Emma lay down, she thought about all the fun things they did and dreamed of dolphins jumping over the waves.
