Today was such a special day at school.
In the morning, our teacher handed out the spelling tests we took yesterday.
I felt nervous as she walked around the room.
Then she came up to me and held out my paper.
I looked at the score and gasped—it was 100!
I almost jumped out of my seat with joy.
My friend leaned over and whispered, “Wow, you did it!”
I couldn’t stop smiling and showed off my test to everyone.
My teacher pointed out that I had neat handwriting too.
She even put up my paper on the classroom wall.
That made me so proud.
Later, I went over the test again to see what I did well.
I had no mistakes—not even one!
At lunch, I brought up my score and my friends cheered.
They all looked up to me for doing so well.
One classmate asked how I kept up with studying.
I said I just went over the words every night.
And when I didn’t know one, I looked it up in the dictionary.
My mom helped me go over the hard ones.
Sometimes, I wanted to give up, but she told me to keep at it.
She said if I stuck with it, I could do it.

After lunch, I wrote down a few tricky words again.
I wanted to hold on to what I learned.
I also put together a mini word list to study next time.
My best friend and I talked about how spelling can be fun.
We decided to team up for next week’s quiz.
We even came up with a game to practice together.
When I got home, I showed off my test to my family.
My dad looked over it and gave me a high five.

I cheered her on and said, “You can do it too!”

그리고 연습용 게임을 생각해냈다.

집에 가서 나는 시험지를 가족에게 자랑했다.

아빠는 시험지를 살펴보시고, 하이파이브를 해주셨다.

“앞으로도 잘하렴”이라고 하셨다.

내 여동생은 단어 하나를 따라 쓰려 했다.

나는 “너도 할 수 있어!”라고 말하며 응원해주었다.

잠자기 전, 시험을 되돌아보며 미소 지었다.

힘들어도 포기하지 않길 잘했다.

앞으로도 열심히 연습하고, 최선을 다할 거다.

왜냐하면 오늘, 노력은 결국 보답받는다는 걸 배웠기 때문이다.
