Learning About Traffic Safety

Today, a police officer came into the classroom.
He stood in front of the class and held up a stop sign.

“Today, we’ll learn about traffic safety,” he said.

Seungwoo sat up straight. He was excited!
The officer showed pictures of roads and signs.

“When you cross the street, always look both ways,” he said.
“And never run across the road!”

Jia raised her hand.
“What if the light is green, but a car is still coming?”

“Great question,” the officer said.
“Even with a green light, you must check first.”

Then the class went outside to practice.
They lined up and walked to the crosswalk.

“Wait for the signal,” the officer said.
When the light turned green, they all crossed safely.

Back in class, the students wrote down what they learned.

Seungwoo smiled and said,
“I’ll always be careful on the road!”

A lesson in safety

줄을 서서 횡단보도로 걸어갔죠.

 

“신호를 기다리세요,” 경찰관이 말했어요.

초록불이 되자 모두 안전하게 길을 건넜어요.

 

교실에 돌아온 아이들은 배운 내용을 적었어요.

 

승우는 미소 지으며 말했어요.

“이제 길에서는 항상 조심할 거예요!”
