Lining Up for a Ride 

It was field trip day, and the class arrived at the amusement park.
Minseo’s eyes sparkled as she saw the tall rides.

“Let’s go on the roller coaster!” her friend Hana said.
“Okay…” Minseo nodded, but her voice shook.

They lined up behind a long group of kids.
As they moved forward, Minseo’s hands got sweaty.

“I’m kind of scared,” she whispered.
Hana smiled. “I’ll sit next to you!”

When it was their turn, they climbed into the seats.
Minseo closed her eyes as the ride started up.

“Ahhh!” she screamed, but then… she started to laugh!

When it was over, they got off the ride and high-fived.

“You were so brave!” Hana said.

Minseo grinned.
“I was scared, but now I want to go again!”

Sometimes, the scariest line
leads to the best ride of your life.

현장학습 날, 반 친구들이 놀이공원에 도착했어요.

민서의 눈은 높은 놀이기구를 보고 반짝였어요.

“우리 롤러코스터 타자!” 친구 하나가 말했어요.

“좋아…” 민서는 고개를 끄덕였지만, 목소리가 떨렸어요.

그들은 긴 줄 뒤에 섰어요.

앞으로 조금씩 움직일수록, 민서의 손은 점점 땀이 났어요.

“나 좀 무서워…” 민서가 속삭였어요.

하나는 웃으며 말했어요. “내가 옆에 앉을게!”

드디어 그들 차례가 되었고, 자리에 올라탔어요.

놀이기구가 출발하자, 민서는 눈을 감았어요.

“꺄아아!” 비명을 질렀지만… 곧 웃기 시작했어요!

끝나고 나서 둘은 놀이기구에서 내려와 하이파이브했어요.

“너 정말 용감했어!” 하나가 말했어요.

민서는 활짝 웃었어요.

“무서웠는데, 이제 다시 타고 싶어!”
