 The Day My Chair Slipped 

The bell rang, and Nayun hurried to her seat.
She was excited for art class.

Without looking, she sat down quickly—
but the chair slid back, and she fell to the floor!

“Ow!” she rubbed her elbow and looked around.

A few students gasped, but then someone helped her up.
It was her friend Jaehee.

“Are you okay?” she asked, worried.
“I’m fine…” Nayun whispered, feeling shy.

The teacher walked over and said kindly,
“It happens. Let’s all check our chairs before we sit.”

Everyone nodded and smiled.
Nayun brushed off her pants and sat down again—this time carefully.

Later, she and Jaehee joked about it.
“Next time, I’ll look first and sit second!” Nayun laughed.

Little falls happen,
but kindness always helps us get back up.

“괜찮아?” 재희가 걱정하며 물었어요.
“응… 괜찮아…” 나윤이는 부끄럽게 속삭였어요.

선생님이 다가오셔서 다정하게 말씀하셨어요.
“그럴 수도 있지. 앉기 전에 의자 꼭 확인하자.”

모두 고개를 끄덕이며 웃었어요.
나윤이는 바지를 툭툭 털고 조심스럽게 다시 앉았어요.

쉬는 시간에 그녀와 재희는 그 일로 농담을 나눴어요.
“다음엔 먼저 보고, 나중에 앉을게!” 나윤이가 웃었어요.

작은 실수는 누구나 할 수 있어요,
하지만 친절은 우리를 다시 일으켜 줘요.
