My Middle School Visit Experience 

Yesterday, we went on a visit to the middle school.
It was our first time to walk through the halls of our new school.
I was excited but also nervous.
I didn’t know what to expect.

When we arrived, teachers welcomed us at the front.
They told us to stay together and follow their lead.
We lined up and walked around in groups.
First, we checked out the science lab.

It looked big and bright.
There were models of planets and tools on every shelf.
The science teacher told us we could do cool experiments next year.
That made me look forward to science class!

Next, we visited the library.
There were so many books!
I wanted to sit down and read through a few right away.
The librarian said we could borrow books anytime.

After that, we moved on to the art room.
It smelled like paint and paper.
Students there were working on posters.
One girl even let me look at her drawing.

We also peeked into the music room.
There were drums, keyboards, and microphones.
A student band was practicing, and they sounded amazing.
I felt like I wanted to join the music club.

Then we headed to the gym.
It was way bigger than our current one!
We saw students run around, play soccer, and do jumps.
The P.E. teacher said we’d have fun and also learn discipline.

We even stopped by the cafeteria.
We got to check the menu and see where we’d eat lunch.
Some kids joked about trading food.
Everyone seemed to lighten up after that.

Finally, we sat down in the main hall.
The school principal gave us a short talk.
She said we must stay kind, study hard, and work together.
Then she said, “Middle school is where you really grow up.”

That made me think about how much will change.
More homework, new teachers, harder subjects.
But I want to keep up with the lessons.
I also want to make new friends and stay close to my old ones.

As we walked back to the bus,
My friend and I talked about our favorite parts.
She liked the music room, and I liked the science lab.
We both said, “Let’s try new things next year!”

When I got home, I told my parents about the visit.
They asked what I thought.
I said, “It looks big, but I think I can handle it.”
They smiled and said, “We’re proud of you.”

That night, I looked back on the day.
I felt a mix of excitement and fear.
Middle school seems challenging but fun.
I’m ready to take on that challenge.

해석

어제 우리는 중학교를 견학하러 갔어요.

처음으로 새로운 학교 복도를 걸으며 둘러보는 시간이었죠.

설렘과 동시에 긴장도 됐어요.

무슨 일이 있을지 기대도 되고 걱정도 됐어요.

 

학교에 도착하니 선생님들이 반겨주셨어요.

“함께 움직이고, 선생님들을 잘 따라가세요”라고 하셨어요.

우리는 줄을 서서, 소그룹으로 교실을 돌아봤어요.

먼저 과학실을 구경했죠.

 

과학실은 넓고 밝았어요.

행성 모형들과 다양한 실험 도구들이 있었어요.

선생님은 내년에 멋진 실험도 하게 될 거라고 하셨어요.

저는 벌써부터 과학 시간이 기대됐어요.

 

다음은 도서관에 갔어요.

정말 많은 책들이 있었어요!

저는 앉아서 바로 몇 권을 읽고 싶었어요.

사서 선생님은 언제든지 책을 빌릴 수 있다고 하셨어요.

 

그 다음은 미술실로 이동했어요.

페인트와 종이 냄새가 났어요.

학생들은 포스터를 만들고 있었고,

어떤 학생은 자신의 그림을 저에게 보여줬어요.

 

음악실도 살짝 들여다봤어요.

드럼, 키보드, 마이크가 있었고,

밴드가 연습 중이었는데 멋졌어요.

저도 음악부에 들고 싶다는 생각이 들었어요.

 

그리고 체육관으로 향했어요.

지금 다니는 학교보다 훨씬 컸어요!

학생들이 이리저리 뛰며 축구도 하고 점프도 했어요.

체육 선생님은 재미도 있고 규율도 배운다고 하셨어요.

 

급식실에도 들렀어요.

메뉴도 보고, 점심 먹는 자리를 확인했어요.

어떤 친구는 음식 바꿔 먹자고 농담했어요.

그 이후로 다들 분위기가 풀어졌어요.

 

마지막으로 우리는 강당에 앉았어요.

교장 선생님께서 짧게 말씀하셨어요.

“친절하고, 열심히 공부하고, 서로 협력하세요.”

“중학교는 진짜로 성장하는 곳입니다”라고 하셨어요.

 

그 말을 들으며, 많은 변화가 생각났어요.

과제도 많고, 선생님도 새롭고, 수업도 어려울 거예요.

그래도 열심히 해서 수업을 따라가고 싶어요.

새 친구도 사귀고, 지금 친구들과도 계속 친하게 지내고 싶어요.

 

버스로 돌아가는 길에,

친구랑 오늘 제일 좋았던 점을 이야기했어요.

친구는 음악실, 저는 과학실이 좋았어요.

“내년엔 꼭 새로운 걸 도전해보자!”고 했어요.

 

집에 와서, 오늘 있었던 일을 부모님께 얘기했어요.

“학교가 크긴 하지만, 저도 할 수 있을 것 같아요.”

부모님은 웃으며 “정말 자랑스럽다”고 하셨어요.

 

그날 밤 저는 하루를 되돌아봤어요.

기대감과 걱정이 동시에 들었어요.

중학교는 도전이지만 재미있을 것 같아요.

저는 그 도전을 받아들일 준비가 되었어요
