Shopping for Middle School Supplies 

Last weekend, I went to the store with my mom to shop for middle school supplies.
We had a long list of things to pick up.
Before leaving home, I wrote down everything I needed.
We wanted to get ready early.

When we arrived, the store was crowded.
Lots of other students were also there to stock up on school items.
We started with notebooks.
I chose different colors for each subject.

Next, we looked at pencil cases and pens.
There were so many cute designs!
I couldn't decide, so Mom helped me choose.
I went with a blue pencil pouch with a small mirror.

We also needed folders and a binder.
I picked out a strong one with a zipper.
Then we moved to the backpack section.
I had to try on a few before I found the right one.

It was light and had lots of pockets.
Mom said, “That looks good on you.”
I smiled and put it in the cart.
I was starting to feel excited about middle school.

After that, we checked out the lunchboxes.
I wanted one that would keep food warm.
We found one with a spoon holder.
Perfect for rice and soup days!

Then came the fun part—stickers and highlighters!
I wanted to decorate my planner,
so I grabbed some fun stickers and pastel markers.
Mom said, “Don’t go overboard!” and laughed.

We walked down the aisle again to make sure we didn’t forget anything.
We still needed gym clothes, indoor shoes, and a name tag.
I crossed off items on my list one by one.
Our cart was getting full.

Finally, we headed to the checkout counter.
We had to wait in line for a while.
I helped put the items on the belt.
The cashier smiled and said, “Excited for school?”

At home, I unpacked everything carefully.
I laid out all my supplies on the floor.
I started to label my notebooks with subject names.
I even wrote my name on every folder.

That night, I organized my backpack.
I put in the pencil case, notebooks, and schedule book.
I also set aside my lunchbox and water bottle.
Everything was ready!

I looked at my new supplies and felt proud.
“Middle school, here I come!” I said.
Shopping wasn’t just about buying stuff.
It helped me get into the right mindset.

Now, every time I see my new bag,
I look forward to the first day even more.
I know I’ll be nervous,

저는 미소 지으며 장바구니에 넣었어요.

중학교가 점점 기대되기 시작했어요.

 

그다음은 도시락통 코너였어요.

음식을 따뜻하게 유지해줄 도시락통을 찾았고,

숟가락 칸도 있어 딱이었어요.

 

재미있는 부분은 스티커와 형광펜!

다이어리를 꾸미려고,

귀여운 스티커와 파스텔 마커도 집었어요.

엄마는 “너무 많이는 안 돼~” 하시며 웃으셨어요.

 

우리는 다시 한 번 매장을 돌며,

놓친 게 없는지 확인했어요.

체육복, 실내화, 이름표도 골랐고

리스트에서 하나씩 지워 나갔어요.

 

드디어 계산대로 향했어요.

줄을 서서 기다렸고,

계산대에 물건을 올려놓으며 도와드렸어요.

점원이 “중학교 기대되죠?” 하고 물으셨어요.

 

집에 와서, 저는 물건을 하나하나 정리했어요.

바닥에 펼쳐두고, 과목별로 라벨도 붙였고,

파일과 공책엔 제 이름도 적었어요.

 

그날 밤엔 새 가방도 정리했어요.

필통, 공책, 수첩을 넣고,

도시락통과 물병도 따로 챙겨뒀어요.

모든 게 완벽하게 준비됐죠!

 

새로 산 물건들을 보며 뿌듯했어요.

“중학교야, 이제 간다!”라고 말했죠.

물건을 사는 게 전부가 아니라

마음가짐까지 준비된 느낌이었어요.

 

이제 새 가방만 봐도,

첫날이 기대돼요.

긴장도 되지만,

이제 새로운 시작을 맞이할 준비가 된 것 같아요.
