Saying Goodbye to a Grateful Junior 

Today, I had to say goodbye to a junior I really care about.
Her name is Jimin, and she’s in the grade below me.
Ever since she came into our school, she always looked up to me.
She often ran up to me in the hallway and smiled brightly.

I remember how we got to know each other.
She once asked for help with math,
so I sat with her during lunch and explained it.
After that, we started to hang out more often.

We would walk around the playground together.
She would talk about her dreams and favorite books.
She even opened up about things that made her nervous.
I always tried to cheer her up when she felt down.

As the school year went on, we grew closer.
I helped her prepare for her first speech contest.
