Running for Grade Representative 

Hey everyone! Today, I want to tell you about the time I ran for grade representative.

It all started when our teacher told us about the election.
She said, “We need a leader for our grade.”
My heart jumped.
I had never done something like that before.
But I raised my hand and said, “I’ll do it!”
My friends looked at me and smiled.

That afternoon, I went home and opened my notebook.
I started to write a speech.
I thought about what students needed.
“I want to help everyone,” I wrote.
Then I practiced in front of the mirror.
My little brother laughed, but I kept going.

The next day, I stood in front of the class.
I held my paper tight and took a deep breath.
“Hello everyone,” I said, “I want to be your rep!”

After that, my classmate Mina gave her speech.
She was really good too.
I felt nervous, but I was also proud.
Later, we made posters with our names.
